A good example of why EV uptake is still not widespread. Charging stations don’t have a card reader, forcing use of the app.
The worst part of this app is the requirement to add a wallet balance before being able to charge, meaning you pay more than what you use. Feels like a scam.
This app has card input only and no options for Apple Pay. Why do you need my phone number, email address and home address to charge? Would you like my mother’s maiden name and my inside leg measurement too?
It shouldn’t take 5 minutes sat by the side of the car inputting all of this to start charging.

Terrible
Why do I have to download an app? Why do I have to add a balance. Now I’ll avoid all Zest chargers
Cannot add payment card and no support offered
Can’t use add a card to the app despite having set up an account therefore I can’t use the chargers in my area. Helpline had no clue and the email I sent has not been answered nearly 24hrs later. Have tried reinstalling the app.
Simple to use
Easy to set up and the QR scanner made it simple to charge. You don’t have to register to charge, which is convenient, but if you do then there are none of those pre-auth checks from your bank.

Really useful
Makes charging simple - download and add your card - then just scan the QR code and it does its thing. Let me know when I got to 80% too which was useful
Modern charging apps should not require top up!
It’s a shame the app requires top up rather than simple pay as you go - this just makes charging a less seamless experience and puts people off!
Decent little app
Smooth app, does what it’s supposed to do. The info provided is very good and the details of the bill too. Very good AC chargers too with low charging losses (under 6%). Wish it had Apple Pay enabled.
EV Charging made easy
This app makes charging your EV easy. I have been able to use this successfully multipolar times and really like the pop up notifications throughout charging that keep you up to date with your EV charging status! I really like the fact it gives you the what three words location for the charging points especially in big car parks as it makes locating the points soo much easier!
There is only one feature I would like to see is that you can open the images of the charging point as sometimes there are multiple charging points in short distances which are varying KWH and it would help locating the correct one.
