Zilch much less attractive compared with other options
The way the available credit works is quite different from other Buy Now, Pay Later services such as Clearpay. When you make an instalment payment, the amount you have repaid does not immediately return to your available credit.
Instead, your credit remains tied up until the entire purchase has been fully repaid. So, even though you are making regular payments, the money you have already paid is essentially sitting there without becoming available for you to use again.
Personally, I find this quite restrictive and I wish this had been made clearer before I started using Zilch. I think customers should be aware of how this works before opening an account, especially if they are used to services where their spending availability increases as they make repayments.
For me, this makes Zilch much less attractive compared with other options, and I hope they reconsider this system in the future.

Closing my dispute and ignoring my live chats for months speak to agents who don’t understand english! Over 400 pounds in a dispute and zilch just ignore and ignore and everyone who picks up can’t see anything you’ve spoke to the previous agent I’d stay away rubbish!

New layout is terrible
I’ve been using Zilch for sometime now. The new layout is terrible once inside the app. You used to be able to easily view what was due when. In what day and not by date. You can no longer see the days they are due and now only by date…… It is in list form now by date as opposed to the opposite. Much harder to use and control payments or forward paying. Do not like the new update or layout. It’s terrible. No longer user friendly in my opinion. Much harder to see what is due by day. Which in my opinion was far better…. Sorry zilch. You’ve lost my vote!
