Too many useless error notifications for unused features that can’t be disabled, even with ZoiperPro
CarPlay functionality does not work; cuts off the iPhone’s speaker and microphone, so the call goes through but no audio.
I have no need and no other contacts to video call, so I’ve disabled camera access. Yet every time I open Zoiper Pro, I get an error notification that the camera can’t be accessed.
Then there is the “connecting to a server with a lower-registration time” and that battery life may be impacted. Fine, notify me ONCE. Then let me disable that notification.
Then there’s the PUSH notifications disabled message. I’m using the app door outgoing calls…why do I need or want push notifications?
The app otherwise works fine, but I totally would have paid for a better alternative had I not already paid for VoiperPro.
Fix these and I’ll give it five stars.

Nach einer Woche sehr gut
Ich habe Zoiper Premium auf vier Mobiltelefonen installiert. Inzwischen klingeln alle, wenn ich eine Nummer anrufe, die für alle gilt. Nehme ich eines ab, dann ist auch die Sprachqualität gut. Eingehende Anrufe werden unter iOS und Android in die jeweilige Telefon-App einsortiert. Das ist sehr erfreulich. Natürlich muss man das über längere Zeit beobachten. Bisher kann ich nichts negatives sagen.

Ich habe Zoiper Premium gekauft, um VoIP-Anrufe zuverlässig auf meinem iPhone zu empfangen. Leider musste ich feststellen, dass Push-Benachrichtigungen NICHT enthalten sind – obwohl ich die Premium-Version bezahlt habe.
Für den Push-Dienst verlangt Zoiper ein zusätzliches Abo – das steht nirgends klar, und ich finde das nicht fair. Ohne Push verpasst man alle Anrufe, wenn die App nicht geöffnet ist.
Ich habe deshalb zu Groundwire gewechselt – dort sind Push-Benachrichtigungen inklusive, und alles funktioniert ohne Abo oder Zusatzkosten.
Mein Fazit:
Zoiper selbst ist eine gute App, aber diese Abzocke bei den Push-Funktionen ist enttäuschend. Bitte als Käufer vorsichtig sein!

Great App
Zoiper is a great app and works with all well known PBXs flawlessly, really excellent. However, one long term overdue and several times announced feature is still missing. That‘s the landscape support. When it comes to video calls and the other side supports landscape only, a transferred landscape video shown in portrait is useless. Please guys, fix this long term missing feature.

Abzocke & technische Probleme – Finger weg!
Ich habe Zoiper als Lifetime-Version gekauft, doch plötzlich gibt es diese Version nicht mehr. Stattdessen wurde Zoiper Premium eingeführt, und ich soll alle Funktionen erneut kaufen – das ist absolut unverschämt gegenüber Bestandskunden!
Dann der absolute Höhepunkt:
Ich habe die In-App-Käufe zum zweiten Mal gekauft, weil ich dachte, damit wäre das Problem gelöst. Aber diese lassen sich nicht auf meinen anderen Geräten synchronisieren! Ich habe also doppelt bezahlt – und soll für jedes iPhone unter der gleichen Apple-Id extra bezahlen!
Zusätzlich gibt es massive technische Probleme auf dem iPhone:
• Wenn man die In-App-Käufe nicht tätigt, funktioniert die App praktisch gar nicht. Ohne Push-Benachrichtigungen kommen keine eingehenden Anrufe durch, sobald das iPhone gesperrt ist oder Zoiper im Hintergrund läuft.
• Eingehende Anrufe funktionieren nicht, wenn die App nicht aktiv im Vordergrund ist.
• Regelmäßige Neuregistrierung nötig, um überhaupt erreichbar zu bleiben – absolut unpraktisch!
• Zusätzliche Kosten für Basisfunktionen, obwohl die App bereits bezahlt wurde.
Ich fordere Zoiper auf, meine doppelt bezahlten In-App-Käufe zu erstatten oder zumindest eine Gerätesynchronisation zu ermöglichen!
Fazit: Die App ist eine Geldverschwendung und funktioniert nicht zuverlässig. Ohne zusätzliche Käufe ist sie praktisch nutzlos. Ich kann Zoiper nicht empfehlen – es gibt bessere Alternativen! 👎🏼

Hello! This is a normal behaviour of the app - due to the specifics of the mobile OS (iOS or Android), Push Notifications is needed to receive incoming calls when Zoiper works in the background. You may consider the Push Notifications Service. It is available as an optional in-app purchase (monthly/yearly subscription).
Zoiper bug in secure mode, and tech support not responding
I can't get Zoiper to work in secure mode (TLS SIP), although secure mode works with other softphones such as Linphone and Bria. I've written to Zoiper technical support twice, but never got a reply. As a result, I've cancelled my Zoiper premium subscription and am switching to another softphone.
Good but needs a native iPadOS app
Of all the soft phone / VoIP clients I tried for iOS, Zoiper Pro was both the easiest to setup and had the most features. That said, the app was written for iPhone screen dimensions and only crudely scales up to an iPad’s larger screen.
Can we add a true iPadOS app to the product backlog pls?

Terrible, unfixable, voice pickup and bluetooth
Explicitly asks iOS for raw audio: disabling the suite of microphones that work together to filter out background noise. No amount of processing a mono signal can fix this- tune it to filter out non voice? Well- what about somebody needing to hear something mechanical?
Next: bluetooth doesn't work. Maybe 1 in 20 attempts would connect at all, and those would just disconnect later. Headset is a quality *tronics model, that nothing else has ever had issues with.
Cough up the additional money for the other softphone app. At least its IAPs are passing on license costs.

Lite Version lief besser
Habe Premium gekauft und habe keinen Mehrwert gegenüber der Lite Version. Die besseren Audiocodecs muss man trotzdem noch kaufen. Es kommt bei jedem Aufruf der App eine Fehlermeldung, dass der Sip-Server für optimierten Akkubetrieb nicht richtig konfiguriert ist, aber das kann ich nicht ändern - nerv!

Disappointed
I started using this paid version with my PBx server for my school last month . So far so good . This month when I tested the audio from this client (paid) all the quality audio and features were disabled and I was being asked to pay a monthly payment. Conclusion i was ripped off. Be more clear on this app description because it seems for me a scam to buy one app that works equal to any other voip clients. The reason a purchase this was because of the audio codec feature for phone calls. But after a month you disable it! Fix this!
