Privacy forward and flexible

Early days for this app, and a promising and usable start. No account needed, data stored on device, straightforward analytics (no LLM). The flip side of flexible and open ended is, of course, that you have to figure out what to do. There are enough starting points to be getting on with as I figure out how to make it really work for my specific situation. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this develops in the future since I really like what I’ve seen so far.

I do wish you weren’t planning subscription only. I know that everyone’s doing it these days but I strongly prefer being able to just buy software.

Response from developer

Thank you for the review, glad it is working well for you at this point & thanks for sticking with it through the setup. Re the subscription -- I entirely understand where you are coming from. I really wish it were feasible to have the app remain entirely free or be a one time purchase. It's possible that things will change, but currently it doesn't look like that will be sustainable in the long run with continued development. We are planning on keeping a generous free tier and keep pricing as affordable as possible. Best, Christine

Great tool!

I have multiple mental and physical health issues and have been using Zolia for a month or two now. It’s already giving me some insight into how my symptoms correlate and what factors affect them. For instance, I’ve learned that managing my sleep and anxiety/stress levels might help reduce my joint pain flare ups. I only wish that there was a timeline given for how long the launch window is and an estimate of the subscription cost when it’s over, though I appreciate the 50% founders discount

Response from developer

Thank you for the review, we are so glad that Zolia is helping you! Apologies for not providing more details on the launch timeline, we've been working on figuring out the details. Our current plan is to introduce freemium in 2-3 months. We will give a month or so warning before this happens so that people who are working on the founder challenge have time to finish. For pricing - we plan to keep it competitive with other apps in the same space. Logging will stay free, some insights will be premium. We haven't fully decided on what full price for premium (without the founder discount) will be but it will likely be in the range of $6-12 / month with a significant discount for yearly. If you have any other questions, feedback, or anything else, we’re always happy to help at hello@zolia.app Best, Christine

I am very happy with it!

I haven’t gotten enough data to experience the analytics yet, but even if used just as a stand alone tracker this app is superior. Truly! I really enjoy customizing. I mess things up a lot, but I am learning. I like the options so much!
I have a question; I would like to add something as a factor (like foods), but if I am creating a new section (foods) it defaults to symptom. I can’t figure out how to choose “factor” in a new section. Thank you for this useful program.

Response from developer

Thank you for the review, and the kind words, we really appreciate it! Re creating a new factor widget: Longpress on the section header you want to add the widget to and select "add widget(s) -> create new widget". It sounds like you got here already. From there you should see a list of options including "rate it", "tag it", "count it", etc. For factors you want to select "Tag it". Then you can hit "continue" to configure the widget name & specific factors. You can also feel free to email us at hello@zolia.app with any questions or feedback. We are happy to help and it helps us to better understand where pain points are. Best, Christine
