About

Zone Check helps coaches, band directors, and athletic trainers follow heat-safety policy during outdoor practice, without paper charts or guesswork. Enter a WBGT reading and Zone Check shows the heat zone and what the policy requires: whether outdoor activity is allowed, maximum practice time, rest breaks, the Rapid Cooling Zone, and football equipment limits. STAY ON TOP OF EVERY PRACTICE • A color-coded heat zone banner with the required actions • A countdown to the next WBGT reading, plus "due now" and overdue alerts • A practice-time countdown when the zone limits practice • Optional reminders, marked Time Sensitive so they can come through a Focus mode • Track several groups at once: football, marching band, cross country, soccer, and more SET UP ONCE • Save each program's location, activity, staff, and meter, then fill in the next session with one tap • Choose your school's policy class once for the school year KEEP A CLEAR RECORD • Every reading keeps its time, source, heat zone, the guidance in effect, and your confirmations • Completed sessions keep the policy version used at the time; past readings are never recalculated • Export any session as a CSV file TEXAS UIL 2026–2027 Zone Check includes the Texas UIL heat stress and athletic participation guidance for the 2026–2027 school year, with links to the published sources: an initial reading within 15 minutes before activity starts, then readings every 30 minutes. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no subscription, no ads, and no analytics. Sessions stay on your device and the app works offline. Zone Check supports implementation of the selected heat-safety policy. It does not replace professional judgment, emergency procedures, or medical advice. Zone Check is not an official UIL product and is not endorsed or approved by UIL.
