Is This It?
I paid about $50 bucks for the BTA-1 and about $180 for my H2 Essentials Zoom Recorder based on a recommendation from ChatGPT. I’ll be using it to record business meetings and podcasts. And all the app basically does is allow you to hit record and stop. I feel kinda cheated. The app has so much potential. I want to be able to adjust all the settings, set markers, transcribe, and change the mic/audio all from the app (just to name a few features). This app needs to be as high-tech as the recorders.

Disappointing
Only shows the main output meters not individual channels on h6 studio. I hope future updates make a better design and functionality
So much potential…missed.
This makes it easy to connect with the H2n 32 bit microphone.
But the app only allows you to start and stop recording!
There’s so much functionality inside the h2n, that makes this app an opportunity squandered.
The huge sales of the H2n should give Zoom sufficient reason to support this app properly.
Until then, their Bluetooth adapter is irrelevant and pointless.

Disappointing with H5 Studio
I purchased the incredibly high quality H5 Studio recently. It is a new piece of kit, so I expected the BTA-1 to allow connection to this app to provide additional functionality from my phone. What a disappointment to find all it does is start and stop recording! Such a missed opportunity. Don't bother buying the BTA-1 Bluetooth adaptor if This is all it does.

Disappointing
No real updates, no additional functionality, bought the bluetooth module, ugly, sticking out of my h2essentials and it’s practically useless.

A remote control app can only start and stop recording. Maybe add the function to adjust gain? Something the app for H8 able to do since 2020?
Bummer
This app doesn’t deliver much of anything useful other than remote start and stop. You can’t enable/disable inputs. You can’t adjust levels. You can’t accurately monitor levels - they can be clipping red on the device but won’t show it in the app. You can have four channels running on the device but only see a stereo pair in the app. Not worth getting the bluetooth dongle unless you use it to sync time code. Missed opportunity zoom. Make a better app.

Pointless app
Zoom Corp, please wake up: have you not researched your what your main competitor, Tascam, is doing? Their wireless control app for their Portacapture can control everything with their devices, albeit only one device at a time. But their app can set gain, reverb, pause, etc… Yours can only start and end recording with multiple devices; you app can’t even pause. That’s far from enough.
If this app doesn’t improve my next handy recorder will just be Tascam.

対応機種が増えたのでもう一息！
当初H2eとH5studioのみの対応で不便でしたが、H4eも対応するなど一括で操作できるアプリとして良くなってきています。
アプリというかレコーダー側の対応なんでしょうが、H2eがワンタッチで接続出来るのに対しH4eは設定画面を呼び出してなど機種によりやや面倒な部分もあります。
そういう細かい部分も解消されれば本当に言うことは無くなりますので、あと少し頑張ってほしいです

再生機能を要望
アプリから録音ファイルの再生ができるようになると助かります。
1 phone at a time.
Will not pair across 2 iPhones. Simple stop/start record. Would like to at least view files recorded even if inaccessible.
Only start and stop
On the H6studio, the only thing this app does is start and stop the recording. It doesn’t even show you levels like it does for other recorders. I wasted my money buying the Bluetooth adapter to use this app - what a complete waste waste.

Works as expected on a Zoom H5 Studio as remote control.
However, it is extremely basic, touching on the absolute legal minimum for claiming app compatibility.
The H5 Studio has so much to offer, and I would welcome to see more control features in the app next to Start/Stop Recording and clock sync.

Very Limited
If all you need is a stop and record button, this app should work for you. However, so many missed opportunities to get functionality that most people would want! Not even a pause, button or level, adjust or monitoring. I think most users would be willing to spend a few dollars for an app that allowed much better functionality.

Much less than for previous recorders
I had the zoom F3, F6, H8, and now I have the F8nPro and H5Studio, the previous F-Control apps you could manage many settings on the recorder like file names, recording settings, gain, fader, metadata, etc… now You can only trigger recording… I wasted $$$ to buy the BTA-1 adapter thinking it would provide the same features as for other recorders in the past…

It’s a remote control. That’s it. Start/stop recording.

The only thing you can do on this App with the H5Studio is:
1) Start recording
2) Stop recording
That’s it.
There is not remote listening, changes any settings, manage recordings or file names, transfer files.
The Bluetooth module and this app are not worth it. The only thing this App may be good for is if you have multiple recorders set and you want to start/stop recording on them remotely.
