What's New in Zula
1.3.0
October 8, 2026
This release is about time: what you've booked, when it starts, and seeing your driver arrive. WHAT'S NEW • Your booked time, shown up front. Each pickup is rounded up to the next half hour, and that rounded time is yours to use. Before you send a request, the booking shows how many minutes each leg includes and when it's booked until. Any time needed to meet the vehicle's minimum goes on the final leg. • Paid time starts fairly. It begins at your booked pickup time if your driver is there, or when they arrive if they're late, so a late driver never shortens your time. Waiting for you uses the time you've booked rather than costing extra. • Know when your driver is there. You get a notification when your driver arrives and another when your booked time starts. Arrival is detected from the driver's location, and they can tap "I've arrived" if that isn't available. • Extra time, simplified. Up to five minutes over a leg isn't charged. Beyond that, extra time is charged per minute at the vehicle's hourly rate and listed on your trip statement. You're told when a leg's booked time is ending. • For drivers: navigating to your pickup now also marks you as on your way and starts location sharing. Ordinary extra time is worked out automatically, so you no longer need to record a continuation. • For operators: pause a vehicle for repairs or leave from Vehicles & pricing. It stops taking new bookings straight away, and existing bookings stay in place for you to fulfil or rearrange. FIXES • Live location is steadier on Android while the driver uses a navigation app or the screen is locked, and keeps arriving while the driver waits at pickup. • The newest location is sent first, so the guest's map catches up quickly after a signal drop. • Each recorded point is stored once, keeping route history accurate. • A trip that simply ran long is no longer flagged for review by default; reviews are kept for reported issues and genuine problems.
