Both are free to download. AirConsole sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Moonlight Game Streaming asks for nothing beyond the download.
AirConsole holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AirConsole has 5K ratings behind it against 607, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Moonlight Game Streaming's written reviews are positive against 55% of AirConsole's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Moonlight Game Streaming ships an update every 2 weeks, AirConsole every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
