Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Alfresco Mobile Workspace at 5.0 against Google Cloud's 3.4. Alfresco Mobile Workspace also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). Google Cloud's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (29% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Alfresco Mobile Workspace holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Google Cloud has 105 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Google Cloud's written reviews are positive against 0% of Alfresco Mobile Workspace's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Google Cloud ships an update weekly, Alfresco Mobile Workspace every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
