About

Expedition

Features

Uncover a hidden pattern. Find a living thing. Expedition: Hidden Wild is a nonogram game about field work. The numbers beside each row and column say how long the filled runs are. Work out the grid, turn the right cards, and a species goes into your journal with one line about it. A find is a short search of one to three boards: tracks, trail, then the animal. One water bottle lasts the whole find, so a slip on the tracks weighs on it. Some cards hide a bonus: water, coins or a material that pops out when you turn them. Travel through Africa, the Americas, and Asia and Oceania, one expedition at a time. Each expedition is a real place and a biome: savanna, desert, rainforest, coral reef and more. Close an expedition to earn an artifact and refill your tools. Close a region to move on to the next. Spend coins on tools and timed skills when a board fights back. The journal keeps everything you have found, by region and expedition. Africa is free: the field school and 40 species, and free outings once it is done. One purchase, the Full Journey, opens the Americas and Asia and Oceania, 80 more species on bigger boards, and unlimited outings. It comes with a gift of 500 coins and 3 of every tool and skill. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Tap a card to turn it. Simple controls leave room for the puzzle. Plays offline. No ads and no account required.

Verdict

The call

AirConsole and Expedition are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. AirConsole sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Expedition sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
