Verdict
Meeting Cost Timers and Microsoft Loop both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 67% of Meeting Cost Timers's written reviews are positive against 22% of Microsoft Loop's. Meeting Cost Timers also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.0). Microsoft Loop's advantage is ratings volume (5.1K vs 9). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Meeting Cost Timers sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Microsoft Loop sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Microsoft Loop holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Loop has 5.1K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Meeting Cost Timers's written reviews are positive against 22% of Microsoft Loop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Meeting Cost Timers ships an update every 6 weeks, Microsoft Loop monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
