Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: MyTN at none against Grunt Style's shown. MyTN also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Grunt Style's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (18K vs 273). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Grunt Style holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Grunt Style has 18K ratings behind it against 273, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 81% of Grunt Style's written reviews are positive against 67% of MyTN's.
Grunt Style ships an update every 3 weeks, MyTN every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
