Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: ABUS Z at 5.0 against IP Camera Viewer's 4.0. ABUS Z also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 14) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). IP Camera Viewer's advantage is review sentiment (39% vs 12%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

ABUS Z holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IP Camera Viewer has 1.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of IP Camera Viewer's written reviews are positive against 12% of ABUS Z's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

IP Camera Viewer ships an update fortnightly, ABUS Z every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
