The UNSSC SD Talks App is a service by the UN System Staff College, functioning as a resource particularly for UN personnel as well as those interested in the current processes of the UN. It is a platform for knowledge sharing and discussions on all the three pillars of the United Nations’ work: peace and security, development and human rights. The interviews with high-level UN personnel include aspects on the post-2015 process, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as well as the UN Fit for Purpose strategy among others. It provides expert opinions and current information not only on the processes that led to the adoption of the Agenda 2030 during the UN Sustainable Development Summit in September 2015 in New York but also operational measures to successfully implement each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, from addressing inequalities to the implementation and measurement of effective governance and peaceful societies. The SD Talks presents the opportunity for UN executives to talk about the challenges the United Nations’ face in making the UN fit for purpose, the role of UN Country Teams, latest developments in disaster risk reduction and many more within the context of the Agenda 2030. The UNSSC SD Talks is an integral part to realize UNSSC’s mission: sharing knowledge, developing leaders!

The Review Toolkit is the first mobile application specifically designed by the United Nations to make knowledge sharing methodology accessible to all military and police personnel, training centres and academies. Users can capture, analyse, review the successes, innovations and challenges from their operational experiences, to improve and optimize training, preparation and support of their future deployments. All successes and failures offer vital opportunities to learn and improve. At all levels of any organization there is a responsibility to come together and share experiences and lessons learned. This is especially critical in complex and rapidly evolving operational environments, including United Nations peacekeeping operations. The good practices and lessons developed by those previously deployed are essential not only to training and preparation, but also to the development and implementation of tactics, techniques and procedures of future military contingent and formed police unit (FPU) personnel.. The Review Toolkit is an effective, secure and user-friendly way to optimize your knowledge sharing practices and can complement existing information-sharing systems; it will serve as a blueprint for systems that are yet to be developed. The Review Toolkit is produced by the United Nations Light Coordination Mechanism (LCM) of the United Nations Department of Peace Operations (DPO) with the support of the United Nations Department of Operational Support (DOS) and the Department of Global Communications (DGC).
