Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: PPV.COM at 42% against FOX Deportes's 11%. PPV.COM also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). FOX Deportes's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (3.7 vs 3.5). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
FOX Deportes holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 30 and 73 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of FOX Deportes's written reviews are positive against 42% of PPV.COM's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
FOX Deportes ships an update every 5 months, PPV.COM every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
