Have you climbed to the top of a mountain and want to know your current elevation? Or are you out and about and wondering how far you still have to go? Altimeter shows you your elevation. It’s also conveniently available on your Apple Watch! What if you want to mark points along your route so you can find them again later? No problem! With Altimeter, you can name and tag locations with an icon and navigate back to them later. This works on your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Altimeter is free, ad-free, and doesn’t track you in any way. Some features are available only to supporters, but anyone can try them for free for a few days. The basic features are freely available and will remain so. If you have questions or comments, you can submit a support request within the app. Features - Elevation in meters or feet with high accuracy - Locations in multiple coordinate systems (International, Swiss, UTM, MGRS) - Save locations as waypoints for later and organize them into folders. - With Augmented Navigation, you can see exactly where your destination is right in the camera view. - The Radar view shows you all waypoints in your vicinity, even in 3D. - Share your waypoints even without an internet connection. - The combined view shows you elevation and location at a glance. - Light/Dark Mode, color or monochrome - iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch Altimeter uses your device’s GPS chip to determine your elevation and location. To maximize battery life, the chip is only activated when the app is open on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch. This means there is no background activity, and your location is not stored. Note Accuracy depends on GPS satellite reception. Reception is limited indoors. Continuous use of GPS can significantly reduce battery life. TUGer is a cockpit assistant for light aircraft pilots. It tracks every flight, logs takeoffs and landings automatically, and helps you navigate — with no setup needed. Designed for tow pilots, drop zone pilots and motor flight instructors. COCKPIT Ground speed, altitude, QNH, vertical speed and track — all on one screen. Current flight altitude history at a glance. MAP Real-time aircraft position, route with waypoints, distances and bearings. ATZ circles for nearby airports. Satellite or standard map. APPROACH Activate approach mode — TUGer displays an extended runway centerline to guide you onto final. Select your runway and airport for a clear visual reference. SEARCH Search for any airport, city or geographic location by name. TUGer finds it on the map and sets your course. Known airports include radio frequencies. Additional airports can be configured manually. FLIGHT LOG Every takeoff and landing is recorded automatically. At the end of the day you see all flights with times and altitudes. Export your data to LOGer — the companion Mac app for managing your pilot logbook. IMPORTANT TUGer does not include airspace data. TMA, CTR, restricted and prohibited areas are not displayed. Always consult official sources and NOTAMs before flight. TUGer is not a navigation instrument. It's your cockpit companion that never forgets a thing.
