Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: ZY Play at 2.4 against Comica Audio's 1.8. ZY Play also leads on ratings volume (658 vs 5) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). Comica Audio's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (25% vs 16%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
ZY Play holds the better App Store score, 2.4 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ZY Play has 658 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of ZY Play's written reviews are positive against 25% of Comica Audio's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
ZY Play ships an update every 2 months, Comica Audio every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
