You don't have to know what you're asking. Just say it. Hold the button and mumble what you're weighing — “what should I eat…” — and snap the menu if there is one. WDYT works out the actual question and the options, shows them to you to fix, and only then gives you an answer, with a number for how sure it is. HOW IT WORKS • Speak, don't type. English through Apple's recogniser; Mandarin through SenseVoice running on your phone. Audio never leaves the device. • It phrases the question for you. A generator model (Google Gemini or OpenAI, your own key) reads your words and up to three photos and writes the question, the options, and “what I picked up” from the photos. • You stay in charge. Edit the question, delete an option, add one it missed, correct what it read. Nothing is decided until you confirm. • A decision, not an essay. The answer comes from TypeSafe's Jev (via OpenRouter or TypeSafe directly, your own key) — a model that returns a typed choice with calibrated probabilities in under half a second. • Honest about uncertainty. When it's 55/45 it says so. When you gave it nothing to go on, it says that too, and lets you add one sentence and ask again. • It learns you, if you let it. Two plain files — identity.md and soul.md — hold who you are and how you decide. Off by default; editable any time. BRING YOUR OWN KEYS WDYT has no servers and no accounts. It needs two keys: one for the generator — Gemini (Google AI Studio) or OpenAI — and one for the decision model — OpenRouter or TypeSafe. Both are pay-as-you-go on your own accounts; a typical question costs well under a cent. Keys live in the iOS Keychain and go only to the provider they belong to. ENTERTAINMENT ONLY Answers come from AI models and can be wrong. For anything that matters — health, money, legal matters, safety, relationships, work — consult a qualified professional and use your own judgment. You use WDYT at your own risk; the app and its developer are not responsible for any decision made with it or any loss arising from one. WDYT PRO WDYT is free for 7 days after you first install it. After that, keep using it with WDYT Pro: Monthly US$1.99, Yearly US$19.99 (auto-renewing), or Lifetime US$29.99 (one-time). Every plan includes everything; prices may vary by region. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CtrlMovie at none against WDYT's 3. CtrlMovie also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). WDYT's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks). On price and ads there is nothing between them.
