Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
iUSB Pro holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iUSB Pro has 1.1K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of iUSB Pro's written reviews are positive against 24% of Transcend Smart Reader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
iUSB Pro ships an update every 3 months, Transcend Smart Reader every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
