Barometer Plus app measures air pressure and altitude using your device's built-in barometric pressure sensor. Because air pressure changes usually indicate a weather change, you can use this app to monitor and predict short-term weather variations. People suffering from migraine, headaches, or joint pain can monitor how barometric pressure impacts their mood. Fishermen can monitor the atmospheric pressure for right-time fishing. FEATURES: • The app contains a barometer and altimeter with a personalization graphic in classic analog style. It also displays the current temperature and humidity. • Display barometric pressure (sensor value) or mean sea level pressure (MSLP - value used in weather forecast services or stations). • Units support for pressure: mb, inHg, kPa, atm, Torr, psi, hPa, mmHg. Units for altitude: meter, feet. • Calibrate the barometer using altitude/location from the GPS. Calibrate the altimeter using the nearest airport information/METAR, or manually enter the QNH of the nearest airport. Offset sensor output value. • Measure the height (building/mountain/hiked/climbed) using the "Relative Altitude" feature (can be enabled in the app's Settings). • Notification about pressure change. "Notification custom rule" for you to define how and when the app sends notifications. Notify when air pressure changes indicate that extreme or worse weather may occur. • "Pressure Tracking" and "History Graph" require "Background App Refresh" or "Always Location Service" with "Exact update interval" (paid feature) enabled. • "My Area" allows you to define your frequent stay places, and the app tracks air pressure with location data. • Export history to CSV format and Today widget (paid features). • This app is the digital version compared with an aneroid or mercury barometer and can be adjusted to MSLP with additional features. CUSTOMIZABLE: You can change your barometer/altimeter appearance with: • Seven different housing colors. • Black, white or blue disk background. • Four different app backgrounds. • Three different types of needles. • Marker needle for easily monitor. • Dark or light Today widget theme. NOTES: • App only works on devices with a barometer sensor, such as iPhone 6/6s/7/8/X/11/12/13 (including Plus models), iPad Mini 4/Air 2/Pro, or later. • Weather icons on the dial: This only shows the air pressure trend like in an analog barometer. • Each time your device reboots, open the app for tracking with the "Exact update interval" feature work. • You may take the phone/tablet far away from computers, cables, and other magnetic sources to get accurate results. Free barometer & altimeter — real-time pressure, altitude, 10-day forecasts with migraine alerts, automatic history logging, and CSV export all in one app. The dashboard displays high-precision real-time measurement data, offering peace of mind for mountaineering enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers. It uses your device's built-in barometric pressure sensor, motion sensor, and GPS, allowing offline use. It also features real-time trend graphs, making it ideal for observing short-term changes during typhoon approaches, sudden downpours, stair/elevator ascents/descents, or driving uphill. The altimeter lets you simultaneously view readings from three sources—sensor, GPS, and QNH (sea-level corrected pressure)—plus a calibrated value matched to a known elevation such as a trailhead. Each altitude is displayed visually on an arch gauge, and you can tap each source to learn about its characteristics and accuracy. Since barometric pressure and altitude support various units, it can also be used for professional purposes by researchers and academic institutions. Additionally, for those sensitive to weather changes and suffering from migraines or weather-related illnesses, it provides graphs forecasting barometric pressure and weather for the next 10 days, along with headache alert information based on published research, updated every 6 hours. Its graphical, intuitive UI runs smoothly, making it a valuable tool for daily prevention and countermeasures. Furthermore, measured barometric pressure data is automatically stored within the app. It features a background measurement mode that enables measurements even when the app is in the background or asleep. You can view accumulated data and export it to CSV files. It also supports Live Activities in the background, allowing you to view real-time data on Dynamic Island or the lock screen. Beyond the main app, it also works with Apple Watch, letting you instantly check barometric pressure and altitude. An all-in-one, high-performance barometer app covering all present, future, and past information related to barometric pressure. The one-of-a-kind app you never knew you needed—that's "Torr"!! 【Features】 ・Dashboard ・Barometer (Atmospheric pressure data via pressure sensor) ・Altimeter — View altitudes from 4 sources on arch gauges ・Sensor Altitude (absolute altitude from the barometric sensor) ・GPS Altitude (elevation above sea level via satellite positioning) ・QNH Altitude (sea-level corrected barometric altitude) ・Calibrated Altitude (calibration matched to a known elevation) ・Pressure Forecast ・Up to 10 days of nearby sea-level pressure values and weather forecasts ・Pressure graph showing trends like rises and falls ・6-hourly migraine/weather sensitivity alerts based on published research ・History ・Automatic data logging ・Daily history export to CSV files ・Background measurement mode ・Unit settings — 7 pressure units including Torr, hPa, kPa, mBar, psi, inHg, mmHg ・Color theme settings ・Daily pressure forecast notification ・Torr Pro — full 10-day forecast anytime, 30 days of past pressure, pressure alerts, graph widgets, ad-free ・Apple Watch compatibility and complication ・Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets ・Live Activity 【Other】 Some devices may not have a barometric pressure sensor or motion sensor. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is update cadence: Torr at every 5 days against Barometer Plus's every 6 weeks. Torr also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.0). Barometer Plus's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Torr holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 409 and 181 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Barometer Plus's written reviews are positive against 57% of Torr's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Barometer Plus ships an update every 6 weeks, Torr every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
