ICD-10 is the global standard for classifying diagnoses (CM) and inpatient procedures (PCS). Managed by the WHO and CMS, these alphanumeric codes provide a universal language for tracking diseases, injuries, and causes of death. They are essential for medical billing, insurance reimbursement, and health statistics. Modern updates, like those for FY 2026, focus on clinical specificity—adding detail for chronic conditions and social factors to improve patient care and data accuracy. CDC released the FY2026 ICD-10-CM. Key Statistics for FY 2026 Updates New Codes: 487 for Diagnosis(CM) 156 for Procedures(PCS). Revised Codes: 38 (CM). Deleted/Invalidated Codes: 28 (CM). ICD-10-CM Coding Assistant is an on-device documentation-analysis workflow for professional coders and clinicians. It turns documented diagnoses, symptoms, and encounter details into reviewable ICD-10-CM suggestions without sending clinical note text to a server. ANALYZE CLINICAL DOCUMENTATION Paste or type a short diagnosis statement or a fuller outpatient note. The coding assistant identifies documented concepts, grounds them in the bundled official FY2027 ICD-10-CM code set, and applies deterministic coding safeguards. This edition applies to dates of service October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027. Suggestions stream progressively from documentation to grounded candidates and rule-checked results. REVIEW THE CODING LOGIC Each suggestion includes the official descriptor, a rule-check status, and an explanation. The app surfaces specificity questions, laterality, 7th-character requirements, Excludes1 conflicts, code-first and use-additional instructions, uncertain findings, and ruled-out conditions instead of silently guessing. VERIFY AGAINST OFFICIAL REFERENCES Open Code Detail to review instructional notes, 7th-character definitions, the Tabular List hierarchy, and the path from the Alphabetic Index to Tabular verification. PRIVATE AND OFFLINE BY DESIGN Clinical note text is not persisted, logged, synced, or sent to a cloud service. Code search and note analysis run on device using the bundled code database. The app includes no ads, analytics, or third-party tracking SDKs. SEARCH AND ORGANIZE Search the complete bundled code set by code or description. Save frequently used codes, save every current suggestion in one tap with Premium, organize codes into folders, add personal notes, and optionally sync saved reference material through your own iCloud account. Batch saving stores code references only, never the clinical note or analysis details. FREE TO TRY The free plan includes unlimited code search, the current bundled ICD-10-CM edition, up to 10 favorites, 3 note analyses each week, and private iCloud sync for saved reference material. A Premium subscription unlocks unlimited note analyses, one-tap saving of all current suggested codes, folders, and unlimited favorites with notes. Subscription terms and any introductory offer are shown before purchase. IMPORTANT ICD-10-CM Coding Assistant is decision support for trained professionals. It does not submit claims, determine reimbursement, replace official coding guidance, or make a final coding decision. The coder reviews the documentation and confirms every code. v1 applies outpatient/professional-fee coding rules and deliberately limits automated suggestions in specialty areas such as obstetric, newborn, and external-cause coding.
