BluVac holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Open as App has 37 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Open as App's written reviews are positive against 36% of BluVac's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Open as App ships an update every 5 weeks, BluVac every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
