Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Ministry Maps at Free against ServicePlanner's $2.99. ServicePlanner's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 2.0) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 11 months). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
