Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Diving Log at 50% against SCUBAPRO LogTRAK 2.0's 11%. Diving Log also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). SCUBAPRO LogTRAK 2.0's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 9 months) and rating (2.0 vs 1.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
SCUBAPRO LogTRAK 2.0 holds the better App Store score, 2.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SCUBAPRO LogTRAK 2.0 has 51 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Diving Log's written reviews are positive against 11% of SCUBAPRO LogTRAK 2.0's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Diving Log ships an update every 9 months, SCUBAPRO LogTRAK 2.0 monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
