Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Nike at 4.9 against The Drop Date's 2.3. Nike also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (25% vs 0%). The Drop Date's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Nike holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nike has 1.7M ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Nike ships an update weekly, The Drop Date every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
