Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: AgCanada at 100% against SaskAlert's 56%. AgCanada also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 4 months). SaskAlert's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 1.0) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
SaskAlert holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SaskAlert has 57 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of SaskAlert's written reviews are positive against 100% of AgCanada's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
SaskAlert ships an update every 4 months, AgCanada every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
