Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: MCCS Connect at 100% against Hero Care's 36%. MCCS Connect also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and device support (3 vs 1). Hero Care's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (32 vs 6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Hero Care holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hero Care has 32 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Hero Care's written reviews are positive against 100% of MCCS Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Hero Care ships an update every 4 months, MCCS Connect every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
