Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Julian Date at 2.7K against Milnerva's 10. Julian Date also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (11.1 vs 16.4). Milnerva's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Julian Date sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Milnerva sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $10.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Julian Date holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Julian Date has 2.7K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of Julian Date's written reviews are positive against 75% of Milnerva's.
