Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Quick at 100% against Device System Services's 52%. Quick also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.6). Device System Services's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (394 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Device System Services sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Quick sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Device System Services holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Device System Services has 394 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Device System Services's written reviews are positive against 100% of Quick's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Device System Services ships an update every 4 months, Quick every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
