Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: EMSGO at 5.0 against GHTK's 4.6. EMSGO also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15). GHTK's advantage is ratings volume (2.5K vs 1) and review sentiment (16% vs 3%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
EMSGO holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GHTK has 2.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of GHTK's written reviews are positive against 3% of EMSGO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
GHTK ships an update every 8 days, EMSGO every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
