Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Hop at 30K against Twins's 51. Hop also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and review sentiment (85% vs 72%). Twins's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Twins sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Hop sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Hop holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hop has 30K ratings behind it against 51, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of Twins's written reviews are positive against 85% of Hop's.
Twins ships an update every 3 weeks, Hop every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
