First Sips

First Sips keeps your wine in one place: what's in your cellar, what you've tasted and what to open next. Photograph a label and First Sips does the rest. YOUR CELLAR • Scan a label to add a wine. First Sips identifies the producer, vintage, region and grapes, then adds tasting notes, food pairings and an estimated price. • Drinking windows at a glance: see which bottles are too young, in their prime or best drunk soon, with optional monthly reminders. • Track bottles, sizes, where you bought them, what you paid and where they're stored. • Share a cellar with family or friends. Send an invite and choose who can edit and who can only view. • Keep several cellars, from the wine rack at home to the bottles at your parents'. VINOGRAPHY: YOUR TASTING JOURNAL • Record every wine you drink, at home or out, with a star rating, notes, the occasion and whether you'd buy it again. • Mark a bottle from your cellar as drunk and review it in one step. • Look back at your favourites and find that wine you loved last summer. SOMMELIER: HELP WHEN YOU'RE CHOOSING • Shop Mode: in a wine shop, scan a few bottles and First Sips ranks them for your meal, your taste and your budget. • Scan 1 bottle: a quick buy, consider or skip verdict on a single wine. • What should I open? Tell us what you're eating, set a price range, and get the best matches from your own cellar. • Wine list: photograph a restaurant's wine list, tell us who's drinking and what you're eating, and get a bottle for the table or a glass or bottle for each person, within your budget. YOUR PALATE AND STATS • My palate: the grapes, regions and styles you love (and don't), so suggestions fit your taste. • My stats: bottles, estimated value, colours, countries and grapes in your cellar, plus your drinking history and top-rated wines. AND MORE • Import from Vivino: bring in your ratings, cellar and scans from a Vivino data export. • Light and dark themes that follow your iPhone's setting. • Sign in with Apple, Google or email. Delete your account and data from within the app at any time. First Sips uses AI to identify wines and make suggestions. It can get things wrong, so check anything important, and please drink responsibly. First Sips is free to download and currently all functionality is free. AI-powered scanning and sommelier features will eventually only be available as part of a premium plan.
