Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: CSLEA at none against VIP's shown. CSLEA also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). VIP's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (18 vs 3). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.6 for VIP against 3.7 for CSLEA. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VIP has 18 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
VIP ships an update every 3 months, CSLEA every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
