My Gemewizard aims to streamline the trade, increase consumers' confidence and expand business opportunities. Gem colors are described using standard GIA® terminology and GemeWizard's alphanumeric color code. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: MyGemeWizard at 3.0 against JewelryID's 1.5. MyGemeWizard also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.4). JewelryID's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (28 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

MyGemeWizard holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: JewelryID has 28 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of MyGemeWizard's written reviews are positive against 5% of JewelryID's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

MyGemeWizard ships an update every 2 months, JewelryID weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
