Basic prerequisites are a thorough knowledge of chemical and physical properties of pure components and mixtures, of reactions, and of mathematical models which, in combination, allow the calculation of a process in a computing device. Process simulation software describes processes in flow diagrams where unit operations are positioned and connected by product or educt streams. The software has to solve the mass and energy balance to find a stable operating point. The goal of a process simulation is to find optimal conditions for a process.

Wish you could have more time? Now you can! We save people just like you over 1 hour per day using Flexblocks! Flexblocks is an auto-scheduling app designed to optimize your day so you waste less time procrastinating. Here's how it works: When you have something to get done with a start and end date it goes in your calendar, and you're extremely likely to complete it, but tasks that have deadlines like your annoying math homework or physics lab don't, hence they go on to-do lists. The reason your math homework ends up being done right before the deadline is because you brain needs to see time set aside.. Introducing Flexblocks! Flexblocks fixes this problem by instantly scheduling timeblocks for you to complete these tasks before the deadline. Unlike any other apps, we learn what times work best for you to create the perfect schedule everytime! ------------------------------- We would love to hear feedback about the app. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out via any of the channels below: Instagram: @flexblocks Email: admin@flexblocks.app Notes: At present, all of our plans are paid because as a business we need to be able to pay the team to continue adding incredible features to improve your experience. The student plan is discounted significantly to allow all students access to this incredible software. Improvements to the auto-scheduling feature, calendar integrations, and re-occurring events are coming in the VERY near future. Current use at this stage in the development will enable us to bring these features to market much faster. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Flexblocks at 100% against DWSIM Simulator's 57%. Flexblocks also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). DWSIM Simulator's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 1.0) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. DWSIM Simulator sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Flexblocks sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

DWSIM Simulator holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DWSIM Simulator has 105 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of DWSIM Simulator's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flexblocks's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

DWSIM Simulator ships an update every 6 weeks, Flexblocks every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 13, 2026 and June 7, 2026 respectively.
