Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
VAVA Dash holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VAVA Dash has 666 ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of VAVA Dash's written reviews are positive against 25% of Ancel Trucker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
VAVA Dash ships an update every 2 months, Ancel Trucker every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
