GPS is required to connect to phone WiFi
Did not work this way on my old phone, new phone and the app Can not connect to my camera, without enabling GPS, message says that will help locate the WiFi less than 3 ft away.
Always has issues now
Always had issues changing password, then the app wouldn’t connect immediately or after a little while. I’ve had to reset the camera too d often , now resetting does not fix this issue. We’ll be Replacing you.
Doesn’t work anymore
It worked great before u til recently. Now it doesn’t connect or stay connected after multiple device resets.
Stopped connecting. Now wants WiFi connection.
I was very happy using this cam, feeling secure that if anything were to happen while driving, there would be a record of it. But for months now, when I want to see and record from Dash to my iPhone, it won’t connect because there’s no WiFi. Wha’?
Of course there’s no WiFi, as I’m driving down the road!!?! I don’t have WiFi in my car!

App won’t update…can’t connect to the ‘WiFi’…seem to be having the same ridiculous issue everyone else is having.

Vava sells or at least used to sell their dash cams in Canada. Their app used to work in Canada but no more. Waste of money to buy vava as they exit the market with no warning.

2 years….
After roughly 2 years of fine operation, the dash cam has stopped communicating with the app. I have done a reset on the dash cam according to the instructions from the developer. And yet nine times out of 10 when I connect to the dash cam in spite of having a strong signal, the little wheel just spins and spins. I guess they’re telling me I have to buy a new one?

I see everyone having the same issues 😂
I brought a VAVA based on the online reviews on their website but I can't even connect to the wifi! It takes me several tries before I can connect but it'll disconnect on its own. The wifi tells me "no internet connection" when I click on it. A hundred dollar camera that's a waste! I bet no one in the VAVA support knows what else to do😂. I've tried all the tips and tricks but nothing is working. I suggest a recall but don't nobody care about that.

Unreliable
Never count on this app n dashcam. Cam always keeps on disconnecting. U won’t get any video clip,when u need them the most on any incident.Totally garbage

Nanny wants to track u or it won’t work. And wifi password and name resets to default daily. So any mouldy dew can watch your poo ⛈️🫷☀️🫸⛈️✌️
Don’t update
I don’t know what’s happened to VAVA. I’ve been very satisfied for a few years with the camera and app. Got a new camera and upgraded the app to be able to utilize the menu options on the camera. Instead I can’t access anything. Skip the update if you have the previous version. At least I could preview the videos on the new camera. Now? Nothing but a spinning arrow.

Very Disappointed
Purchased VAVA dash cam as a gift which was not installed straight away. Dash cam recorded for a short time and then when an accident happened with my daughter it did not record and stopped working after that. I e-mailed customer service but unfortunately no help. Unfortunately I am out a lot of money. Do not recommend.

Emergency button does not work. My travel log has not updated since 07/2023 without explanation. App and firmware up to date and still nothing. No reply for customer service email. In app help center does not load. Received a ticket and could not fight it bc cam failed to record that day, even though it is on while I am driving very disappointed
