QR Manutec vs Query

QR Manutec is an offline-first barcode (all barcodes supported, not only QR) archive and server sync app. You can use this app for tracking purposes, as every scan is geolocalized and timestamped. There's a CVS export method or a simple but more efficient client/server procedure to make sure that no scan are lost, and everything is taken to your remote server. Scans can be collected offline, and the app will try to synch the scan list in background, you don't have to leave the app open. Every scan is associated to an unique code, so to implement the synch function you have to create two distinct functions, a "check" and a "send". The check and send methods both use the standard POST function, passing all the values to the server, as a normal internet form would do. From version 1.1.1 you can export the data via email, as a CVS attachment. You have to enable the "Advanced features" in the settings to see the export button. There is also an auto delete function where you can set to enable auto delete and set the number of tolerance days. Only the scan already in synch will be deleted. From your web server side, you can implement the CHECK function as the following guidelines, to make it work with the app: - client side it will call the check function for every scan with a POST, passing the unique scan identifier - your server has to query its database, search for that unique value, and i found should send back a string with this pattern: "CHECK:"+unique id+"|"+long description+"&"+short description (the icon in the app will change accordingly) - in case the server wants to delete the scan, it should reply with this pattern: "CHECK:"+unique id+"|"+"DELETE" (the icon in the app will change accordingly) - in case the user click the "Cancel Scan", in the send post there will be a field note with the text: ASKDEL, in this case, if the server responds with: "ASKDEL:"+unique id+"|"+"&", the scan will be deleted in the client (the icon in the app will change accordingly) - if the server replies with this pattern: "NOTE:"+unique id+"|"+"&", will mark the scan as there are notes (the icon in the app will change accordingly)

Unlike search engines, the entity being requested provides the information the user receives How it Works As the app user comes “in range” of the enabled sign the user is able to push the microphone button and say the keyword(s) found on the sign that triggers the system to provide information. Usually this action is stimulated from viewed signs that are nearby. The app user says what is written on the sign or heard over the air, (the keyword(s)) into the app and the system responds with immediate audio information, and supplemental information through the app. The supplemental information may include web links, pictures, contact information and video. The information is placed on the system by or on behalf of the stakeholder or advertiser We are all about safety. Entities also get an icon on the map found in the app. Another safety precaution is the use of short-cut keywords by category that gather the information from every listing that is within the users range. For example sometimes it is hard to get the name from a real estate sign, in which case the app user may grab the same information by saying “Hey Property”. This will return any property items within range of the app user Saying “Hey Local” will return any of the local entities with range of the user. These could be local businesses but also nearby churches and schools. Saying “Hey Marker” will retrieve information from historic markers if listed in out directory. Government services, including zoning signs, public works signs, and items such as buildings and parks, will respond to “Hey Government”, up to a range of 2200 ft. Any of the items with a range based in miles will respond to “Hey Info” Cost The app is free to users. For advertisers, the basic service can be free for many categories Information and Privacy App users are anonymous and they will not receive pop-up ads in their emails or while browsing.
