Usually this action is stimulated from viewed signs that are nearby. The app user says what is written on the sign or heard over the air, (the keyword(s)) into the app and the system responds with immediate audio information, and supplemental information through the app. The supplemental information may include web links, pictures, contact information and video. The information is placed on the system by or on behalf of the stakeholder or advertiser We are all about safety. Entities also get an icon on the map found in the app. Another safety precaution is the use of short-cut keywords by category that gather the information from every listing that is within the users range. For example sometimes it is hard to get the name from a real estate sign, in which case the app user may grab the same information by saying “Hey Property”. This will return any property items within range of the app user Saying “Hey Local” will return any of the local entities with range of the user. These could be local businesses but also nearby churches and schools. Saying “Hey Marker” will retrieve information from historic markers if listed in out directory. Government services, including zoning signs, public works signs, and items such as buildings and parks, will respond to “Hey Government”, up to a range of 2200 ft. Any of the items with a range based in miles will respond to “Hey Info” Cost The app is free to users. The Iron Butt Scoring App is the companion app for riders participating in supported Iron Butt and long-distance motorcycle rallies. Built for the realities of rally riding, the app provides a streamlined way to manage bonuses, capture required evidence, submit claims, and stay connected with rally staff throughout an event. Riders can view rally and bonus information, reference photos, availability requirements, point values, and other instructions directly in the app. Bonus claims can include photos, video, audio, written answers, notes, timers, and other evidence required by the rally. The app is designed to continue working when cellular service is limited or unavailable. Riders can prepare and document claims offline and synchronize them when connectivity returns. Additional features include rally navigation, final-approach guidance, rider messaging, claim history and corrections, offline rally preparation, and other event-specific functions configured by rally staff. For rallies that enable GPS tracking, the app can record location data to support rally operations, safety, and event administration. Because riders may travel for extended periods with the device screen off or the app in the background, location tracking may continue in the background when enabled for the event. Location-dependent features are governed by the requirements and configuration of the individual rally and the permissions granted on the rider's device.
