Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: QPhoto Backup at 4.7 against QVR Pro Client's 2.7. QPhoto Backup also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). QVR Pro Client's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ratings volume (47 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

QPhoto Backup holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QVR Pro Client has 47 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of QVR Pro Client's written reviews are positive against 33% of QPhoto Backup's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

QVR Pro Client ships an update every 3 months, QPhoto Backup every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
