Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Mixy at 4.3 against Last.fm's 2.3. Mixy also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (19K vs 1.6K). Last.fm's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9) and iOS requirement (14.5 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mixy sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Last.fm asks for nothing beyond the download.
Mixy holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mixy has 19K ratings behind it against 1.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 19% of Last.fm's written reviews are positive against 27% of Mixy's.
Last.fm ships an update every 6 months, Mixy fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 8, 2026.
