The call

The clearest difference is price: The Run Experience at Free against Run Roster's $1.99. The Run Experience also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 50%) and ratings volume (538 vs 1). Run Roster's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Run Roster holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Run Experience has 538 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of The Run Experience's written reviews are positive against 50% of Run Roster's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on June 9, 2026 and August 18, 2026 respectively.
