About

myRangeJournal

Features

The logbook that reads your data back. myRangeJournal is a shooting logbook built for the range, not the desk. Log every session as a DOPE card — conditions, the target you shot, your group, your rifle and load — and the app turns those cards into answers: what your rifle actually does, which load groups best, and how your barrel is holding up. LOG THE SESSION • DOPE cards with date, location, distance, rifle, load, rounds fired and notes • Plot your group on bullseye, silhouette, zombie, alien, steel or 1 MOA grid faces — shots numbered in order, group size measured • Live Scan: point the camera at the target and the holes land on the plot • Range card, sketch and journal for every session, with two range-day photos • Saved cards lock, so your record stays a record KESTREL LiNK • Stream wind and atmosphere straight from a Kestrel meter onto the card — temperature, humidity, pressure, density altitude, dew point, crosswind and headwind • Measured, not guessed. No meter? Fill from your phone or import a Kestrel CSV BALLISTIC SOLVER • Full come-ups and wind holds in MOA or MIL, G1 or G7 • True your muzzle velocity against your own confirmed dope • Mil-dot ranging, a camera range finder and a shot timer — free, offline, no account needed THE ARMORY • Every rifle with its round count, rounds since cleaning, sessions and loads • Your ammo on hand — scan a box or add it by hand • The ballistic picture builds as you log more sessions ON YOUR WRIST • Send your dope ladder and target face to Apple Watch, and watch each hole land as you plot it TRAIN AND COMPETE • Dry fire: log the practice that never makes it into a logbook — streaks, reps, clean breaks • Matches: stages, hit factor, PRS points and quals, with your draw and splits THE COMMUNITY • Group Therapy: post your groups and get the community's read • Bragging Rights: score a target in MOA and climb the leaderboard — every claim backed by the target behind it REFERENCES AND CARE • MOA and MIL tables, yard and meter conversion, mil-dot ranging, wind reading, zeroing, spot reports and fundamentals • Step-by-step cleaning guides for modern rifles, pistols, shotguns and bolt actions — safety first, every time THE AI SPOTTER • When nobody's on the glass with you, ask for a debrief: it reads the group, the wind call and your cold-bore trend and talks you through the session like a partner would • The numbers always come from the on-device ballistics engine — never the AI BUILT FOR iPHONE DUO Unfold it and the app uses both pages. Your target sits on one side with live Kestrel readings on the plot while the card stays open on the other. Flick through your rifles and the one you land on opens beside the rack. The journal, guides, feed and leaderboard keep their list in view while you read. Folded, everything works one-handed on the cover screen. Sign in with Apple, Google or email. One account, one logbook — sign in on any of your devices and your sessions are waiting. SAFETY FIRST myRangeJournal is a logbook and reference for lawful, responsible firearm use — not professional instruction, and never a substitute for the universal safety rules, qualified training, or your local laws. All tools are field estimates: always confirm against your own verified dope. The ladder test reports your own numbers and never says a charge is safe — work up from your load manual and watch for pressure signs. myRangeJournal PRO Unlimited logbook entries, no ads, Kestrel LiNK, unlimited AI Spotter debriefs, Trends (groups over time, best load, barrel life) and full CSV export. Your first logbook entries are free, and you can buy more a few at a time instead of subscribing. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your App Store account settings.
