The Ascertain Dementia 8-item Informant Questionnaire (AD8) The AD8 is an 8-question interview tool which distinguishes individuals with very mild dementia from those without dementia, regardless of etiology.  Questions are given to the respondent for self–administration or can be read aloud to the respondent either in person or over the phone. It is preferable to administer the AD8 to an informant, if available. If an informant is not available, the AD8 may be administered to the patient. Administration guidelines along with information on interpreting the results are contained within the app. Screening tests such as the AD8 are insufficient to diagnose a dementing disorder. The AD8 is, however, sensitive to detecting early cognitive changes associated with many common dementing illnesses, including Alzheimer disease, vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, and frontotemporal dementia. The AD8 is based on intra-individual decline and has been demonstrated to be a valid and reliable screening tool for dementia. Disclaimer: Scores in the impaired range indicate a need for further assessment from a medical provider. Scores in the “normal” range suggest that a dementing disorder is unlikely, but a very early disease process cannot be ruled out. More advanced assessment may be warranted in cases where other objective evidence of impairment exists. Seek advice from a medical provider in addition to using the app and before making any medical decisions. You assume all liability due to or arising from your use of the AD8. Washington University will not be liable to Licensee for any loss, claim or demand made or incurred by the Licensee or any third party, due to or arising from the use of the AD8 by Licensee. Before using the AD8 app, all users will be required to read and accept the full Permission & Licensing Statement displayed when the app opens.

Help your child succeed on the NNAT3! Don't put your child at risk of being unprepared and underperforming on exam day. With these 4 Full-Length practice tests, you can help ensure your child's success on exam Level A or Level B. Your child must be familiar with the exam material and capable of focusing for longer periods of time. This app provides an opportunity to do both. The NNAT® (Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test) is a nonverbal group-administered ability test for grades K-12 that assesses students' thinking and problem solving abilities. Unlike assessment tests, which measure what a student has already learned, abilities tests are intended to examine a student's aptitude, with a premium on analytic and problem-solving skills over specific information. The latest version is the NNAT®3. It takes 30 minutes to complete. It includes 48 questions. These questions are broken down into four unique question types. The NNAT®3 is an updated version of the NNAT®2 that includes an improved exam format, updated questions, better accessibility for different students, updated scoring criteria, improved digital administration, and more extensive test preparation materials. These improvements are intended to give a more accurate, interesting, and accessible assessment of children's nonverbal reasoning skills. There are 4 types of questions on the NNAT® test: • Pattern completion - Students are shown a design and are asked to identify what is missing from a section of the image. • Reasoning by analogy - Students are asked to determine the relationship between varying geometric shapes. • Serial reasoning - Students are asked to recognize a correct sequence of shapes. • Spatial visualization - Students are asked to combine two or more shapes and determine what the results will like. About this app: This app will help your child prepare for the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT®3), which is commonly used for admittance to gifted and talented programs. The book has 4 full-length tests with 48 questions each. • 2 tests for Level A - Children entering or in kindergarten will take the Level A exam, which has Pattern Completion and Reasoning by Analogy questions. • 2 tests for Level B - Children in first grade will take the Level B exam, which has Pattern Completion, Reasoning by Analogy and Serial Reasoning questions. It is preferable for children to begin at a lower level and progress to a higher level.
