Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
SmartBen NOW holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartBen NOW has 868 ratings behind it against 30, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of SmartBen NOW's written reviews are positive against 64% of KFORCEconnect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
SmartBen NOW ships an update every 3 months, KFORCEconnect every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
