Verdict
Saplingy and Bakery both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 64% of Bakery's written reviews are positive against 26% of Saplingy's. Bakery also leads on ratings volume (832 vs 61). Saplingy's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
