KitPrep is the dedicated digital workspace built specifically for film and television camera departments. Say goodbye to scattered Google Drive folders, messy WhatsApp groups, and lost inventory logs. KitPrep centralises your entire kit prep process into one fast, offline-capable, and real-time collaborative platform. Whether you are a 1st AC managing a multi-camera feature or a Trainee logging damage reports, KitPrep keeps the entire camera crew on the exact same page. CORE FEATURES: • Real-Time Multiplayer Sync: Invite up to 6 crew members to a project via a simple Join Code. Everyone’s updates, photos, and logs sync instantly to the cloud. • Frictionless Access: No user accounts, no passwords, and no email sign-ups required. Just enter your display name and role (e.g., "Rob - 1st AC") and start prepping. • Smart OCR Scanning: Instantly capture and log equipment serial numbers directly from your camera's live feed. • Professional PDF Exports: Generate clean, standardized, and easily shareable PDF inventory lists directly from your phone to send to production or rental houses. • Damage Flagging: Instantly flag broken or missing equipment, complete with photo evidence, so nothing slips through the cracks before the shoot begins. • Offline-Capable: Prepping in a basement rental house with zero cell service? KitPrep works completely offline and automatically syncs everything the moment you reconnect. • Accountability Tags: Every uploaded photo and log is automatically tagged with the crew member's name, keeping a clear record of who prepped what. FIRST JOB FREE: We believe in letting the app prove its worth on the floor. • Joining is always free: Any crew member can join a project using an invite code and use the app’s full feature set at no cost. • First project is on us: You can create your first project and generate your first share code entirely for free. • Upgrade when you're ready: After your first free project, a single monthly or annual subscription unlocks the ability to host unlimited cloud projects and generate invite codes for future jobs. Built for speed, reliability, and the realities of the prep floor, KitPrep is the modern tool every camera department needs to get the job done right.
