DNAfrique vs Family Tree*

Are you interested in seeing the genetic genealogy results online about Africans in the diaspora (at the moment only African American celebrities) in one place? DNAfrique has gathered some of that information for you and arranged it by countries. That information (in the app) is not provided by any of the many genealogy companies but culled from various internet searches. The information about why the people are celebrities, is from their official sites or from Wikipedia. You might know more than what you find here. Feel free to send in corrections. Interesting that there are many celebrities traced to certain tribes in ???? and ???. With the new version (1.7) you can send your own information about your DNA results directly to the developer to add to the app.New SwiftUI versions fixed the iPad problem in Master-Detail in iPad portrait and landscape modes. SwiftUI doesn’t support every Storyboard feature yet.

Your family is more than names and dates. Family Tree* helps you bring the people, stories, memories and discoveries behind your family history together in one place. Build a beautiful interactive family tree, preserve what you know about the people in it, and use powerful Research tools when there is more to discover. Whether you are starting with yourself and your parents or already know generations of family history, Family Tree makes genealogy visual, personal and approachable. BUILD YOUR FAMILY TREE: Start with one person and grow your tree naturally. Add parents, children, partners, siblings and extended relatives while Family Tree organizes the connections. Explore generations visually, tap a person to focus, pinch and pan, or use simple zoom controls to see the details or the bigger picture. Add photos, names, birth and death information, places and other details about each person's life. Record approximate dates when history is uncertain, without turning them into exact facts. START WITH A FAMILY PHOTO: Turn one family photograph into a beautiful, connected family tree. Simply choose a family portrait and Family Tree automatically finds the faces in your photo. The faces from your photograph come together in an interactive family tree. Start with a single photograph, then keep adding relatives, connecting generations and discovering more of your family story. RESEARCH YOUR FAMILY HISTORY: When you reach something you do not know, ask Research. Family Tree can investigate public sources, follow possible leads and return structured findings with sources and citations where available. Research is built around evidence, not automatic answers. Possible matches, conflicting information and unanswered questions remain research until you decide what to do with them. Nothing discovered through Research automatically changes your family tree. Useful clues from one investigation can also be carried into another, helping you gradually work through more difficult family-history questions. PRESERVE MEMORIES: Keep photographs, documents, stories and other pieces of family history and connect them with the people they belong to. Over time, your tree becomes more than a chart. It becomes a personal archive of your family. FAMILY TREE INCLUDES: • Interactive family trees with unlimited generations • Parents, children, partners, siblings and extended relationships • Photos and detailed information for each person • Birth and death details, including approximate dates and places • Pinch, pan and one-tap zoom controls • Evidence-based Research using public sources • Sources, citations and Research clues • Memories for photos, documents and stories • Private Research history • Family tree import tools PRIVATE BY DESIGN: Your family history is personal. Research is initiated by you and uses relevant family information only when needed for the investigation you request.
