GW2 Assistant is a fan-made app for viewing your Guild Wars 2® account and character information on the go! Without an API key you can view the Boss Timers. If you'd like to view your character and account information, you will need to generate an API token on https://account.arena.net/applications, and make sure to give it permission to builds, characters, progression, wallet, builds, account, inventories, and unlocks. You can enter the key by copying and pasting it onto the settings page or by scanning the barcode. If you do not give it a given permission, the app will still function but the page attached to that permission will not be available. Most views can be refreshed by dragging down and releasing when "refresh" appears. We request the Camera permission to allow the scanning of barcodes. All Guild Wars 2 content is copyright Arenanet and comply with the Content Terms of Use (https://www.guildwars2.com/en/legal/guild-wars-2-content-terms-of-use/)

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: GW2 Assistant at none against DTCGZone's 2. GW2 Assistant also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (75% vs 43%). DTCGZone's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months) and rating (4.4 vs 4.1). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. DTCGZone sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. GW2 Assistant asks for nothing beyond the download.
DTCGZone holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DTCGZone has 96 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of GW2 Assistant's written reviews are positive against 43% of DTCGZone's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
GW2 Assistant ships an update every 2 months, DTCGZone every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
