Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Paperang at 2.5 against POME's 1.9. Paperang also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 12) and ratings volume (129 vs 26). POME's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (49% vs 20%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. POME sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Paperang asks for nothing beyond the download.
Paperang holds the better App Store score, 2.5 against 1.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 129 and 26 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Paperang's written reviews are positive against 49% of POME's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Paperang ships an update every 2 months, POME every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
